THE ANCHORAGE COMMUNITY Seventh-day Adventist Church, or "Community" as commonly called across Alaska. All are welcome in our diverse church family.

The church started as a company of 17 members from sister churches, Anchorage Northside and Hillside O'Malley, in March 1987 by charter of the Alaska Conference. Through the leadership of establishing members Mason West and Al Anderson, along with local elders, the membership quickly  grew to 30 as a result of a lay-conducted Revelation Seminar.

Officially organized as a church in December 1988 with 52 believers; membership expanded to 103 by July of 1989. Two years later, Community acquired its own facility at 2600 E 16th Avenue in Anchorage. After several years in the property, the church family outgrew the building and embarked on finding a new home.

This has been a long process, however with patience and trusting in God's leading, Community purchased property off Boniface and the Glenn Highway with plans to break ground in the near future!
